Aa Gayi Modi Sarkar

Yesterday was a day when the whole country was glued to the television screen extolling the efforts of the man who brought a wave of change, so desperately awaited by one and all. The news channels were frenzied with excitement declaring the historic win of the saffron party, the Share Market got pregnant with soaring investments,as the big fishes foresaw the boom on brink, the common man celebrated the victory of fair polling , reassuring the person next to him/ her with the one liner that has attained a cult status now- "ebe bhollo din aasibe". The role of media and advertising cant be ignored in this election. The kind of advertising that dominated this election was very fresh new and effective. The "Nailing it" concept of brand marketing too worked well. With IPL keeping the people of all age groups captivated towards television , the commercial breaks between the Overs were the best place to position the advertisements ending with the tagline "Abki baar Modi sarkar" repeatedly. We never saw an ad campaign of any political party like the way BJP did this time. Perhaps they linked the idea of fair politics with "No Match Fixing" Concept, which readily connected well with the ever cricket loving Indian viewers. Considering the 4 P's of marketing, Mr. Namo had his main 'P' well developed : Product, that is, 'Good Governance' The idea of good governance that he promoted was well backed by his coruscating report card of the Gujrat model. He brought up the issues that appealed to the public more rationally. It was very much required to get back to basics and efface from the party the constricted ideology that Mr Advani had promoted. And it all worked well. With his determined and piercing gaze, a voice of conviction and the intrinsic leadership trait, he toured the entire country, speaking in language of the people, for the people. It all paid off well, as he takes over the prestigious office to govern the country soon. At the end of the day, it will be the govt.'s performance that will matter. India, marred with corruption has always faced the implementation paralysis. Indian law book is filled with many fair laws and rules, which are there to safeguard the rights and interests of everyone across the board. But those benefits fail to trickle down to the masses at the bottom of the pyramid.. one such example is the MNREGA, which though, began with a noble aim, became a medium for the avaricious officials to siphon off public money without any trouble. Hope the new office will bring about a change, especially by enforcing and abiding by to a single ideology that would become the bottom line for the bureaucrats and citizens to participate accordingly in a cooperative way. Lets see what things come up next, after all, as the statement goes viral on social networking sites- "Good days have come at last".. lets see..

Changing Times

Everyday when I walk to my college, two hours before noon, devoid of the breakfast, with a single notebook in hand that serves as the notebook for all the subject notes,a use n throw pen in pocket,I glance at the plethora of similar youngsters walking parallel to me in the same direction.Clad in variously colored wardrobes, none of them bear the same expression. Some are elated, some are just walking as if to finish off a routine affair while some seem to be too much in hurry to bother for anything else.

This wasn't the same at school.Going to school meant like going to an event. It had so much of preparations and plannings-- The right class work notebooks, the right homework notebooks, the right combination of pens and pencil, gel pens for special subjects, water bottle, lunch box, polished shoes, well dressed hair and not to forget the well ironed, crease less and spotless uniform. Then there used to be the bicycle.Having gulped the most delicious breakfast prepared by mom, early in the morning, a midst the silence, serenity and coolness of dawn, cycling calmly to school gave the most soothing and gaily feeling.Meeting pals on way, gossiping all the way till school, recalling every unimportant deed of the previous day,the fun and frolics, trials and adventures, teachers and subjects..everything used to be so fun and exciting!!

Newton's dark Secrets

I watched a documentary today on one of the greatest physicists of all time Sir Isaac Newton. It was entitled "Newton's Dark Secrets"

Undoubtedly,Newton is indeed one of the greatest  superstars of the Scientific World and his works has been the basis for the development of  modern mathematics and Physics. Its surprising for everyone to believe how could a single mind discover so diverse of theories in such an old period of time namely 1660's and 70's.Many students of today blame him that because of him we have to study so much of things in physics and Mathematics.. :) Ha ha... I feel pity for them... But Newton was truly a genius.. At just the age of 22 he had almost discovered an entirely new branch of mathematics "Calculus" and was working out with the equations on Gravitation!!

We still wonder what equipments he had at that time to go to so intricate details of knowledge?
There were no good measuring devices, for example. There were no good telescopes either..Yet he achieved the feats that today we are using the most sophisticated equipments to prove his theories.

There was but one thing that interested any scientist to go to greater depths of reasoning...and that was the quest to understand Nature and how God has designed it.It was thrilling in those times for people to observe that the Nature, whose activities seemed so random were all operating systematically and in a definite way.The keenness to decipher that language of nature was what propelled the scientists to start experimenting.

In the documentary that I saw it was evident that Newton imagined a lot..He used to visualize the things..the motion...the gravitation...the time passing and the forces acting.. He performed "Thought Experiments".It was known that universe speaks in the language of mathematics..every event could be explained with certain sets of mathematical relationships.. and that was the tool that he had...

His Thoughts/Imagination +Mathematics= Greatest Discoveries

Now what was the real secret that the documentary revealed was that Newton used to practice certain occult activities like Alchemy. Now we,in the present day know alchemy was something like chemistry.. but in reality practising alchemy was not at all honoured! The alchemists worked with several metals to find the correct recepie to make the "Philosopher's Stone" that could cure the illness and provide immortality to anyone possessing it and it can turn lead into gold...

So it was surprising when certain papers of Newton was discovered which revealed his keen interest in alchemy and the experiments he performed for it.It was truly shocking how a man of intellect got involved in such a superstitious thing...?

Soon more and more papers of his works in alchemy was found and his works were studied. But at the end, researchers were bound to say that Newton was indeed a "genius".

Newton said that people of the past knew many things about nature and this knowledge was lost over time...But many myths of religions actually tell about the alchemical processes in their stories..
There goes a certain story about the Greek god Vulcan, goddesses Venus and God Mars and a fine metallic net that Vulcan makes in the story.... now it was just a story.. nothing much..but Newton deciphered the alchemical secret hidden in it..In alchemy Venus,Mars and Vulcan means Copper,Iron and Fire.. So Newton mixes copper and iron and after heating the mixture,he gets a purple coloured alloy with net-like texture as spoken in the myth(Net made by God Vulcan)!!!
Surprising!!
A mythical tale becomes an alchemical recepie...!!
It was Newton's another way for understanding the nature, the Eath, the matter ..the elements...

Some of Newton's secret also revolves around his religious views which he held in his mind but never spoke before anyone. And that was the most dangerous thing that he held as his secret.."Denying the divinity of Christ" He read Bible deeply..he read many copies of Bible, but as he understood nature more and more he began to believe that God is much more powerful than what Christ has been portrayed in the Bible...
Now it was good that he held this thought as a secret coz we all kno what happened to Galilieo when he  challenged the church with his principles...

After his years of research on Bible and with his mathematics he predicted that the world will end in the year 2060(By the way Ive got sick of this 'End of the World' predictions...Atleast it's a relief for those who are expecting the end in 2012.. :) )

At the end we kno...whatever Newton did had a reason behind it...Later it was found that while observing a certain chemical reaction in the laboratory he got an insight about the "Invisible forces" of Nature which he called the Active Principles... He saw Gravity the same way... a mysterious force...An active principle...A divine Force of Nature guiding all the motions in the entire Universe...
Fascinating!!!

So that is our great scientist...many researchers still believe that Newton was certainly looking for something in alchemy..may be he couldnt achieve the result for what he was looking for. That's why he never published his alchemical works..Moreover he had to give up alchemy because of health issues..He couldnt achieve any breakthroughs in alchemy as in physics and mathematics... Who knows..he was on the way to discover something..........that hasn't been discovered yet.. :)

Exams Are Coming!!

The 3rd sem exams are coming soon! :) The countdown has begun..Still there isn't any sort of terror or anxiety for that.. Exams at the college are not so sensational as it used to be during the school days..

In schools we knew what exams meant to us.! There wont just b lots of anxieties and mental preparedness but exam season was accompanied with many facilities being withdrawn from us.No more playings in the evening,no more cricket or football in the playground...no more hanging with friends and no more cable and TV at home...
I recall many of my friend's parents disconnected the cable connection during exams and packed the TV with newspaper... they dint want their children to stare at the 'switched off' TV as well... :P ha ha...that was really extreme!!!

Those were the times when marks meant really a lot to us...Our parents used to keep us updated about the activities of our neighboring classmates when they used  to visit their homes and found them studying. That would excite us to study more as we had to maintain the rank in the class. That time competition meant to score more than our nearest competitor... Marks weren't our milestone, Our mentality used to be like-"whatever the marks may be... It shouldn't be less than him or her" Because in those times a parent-teachers meeting was called after every exam and our answer scripts were shown together... Our parents would generally inquire about our frn's performance and then it would feel really embarrassing to discover that he/she who never scored more than us previously has done better than us this time.. :)

And in childhood, exams also meant lots of shopping...New pen,New Cardboard(the teachers aren't allowing me to keep my old cardboard because Ive scrambled many things and drawn many drawings on it over the years of my examination-hall boredom hours. :))and a New Geometry box(Not the Natraj one...I want the Stlylo Geometry box..It has a pen-pencil,glue-tube and a  big pencil sharpner)
ha ha... funny to recall those moments....
That was the real zest of examination..

It's Uncomparable with the present scenario....Today.. there is no competition,no milestone,no anxiety, no clipboard and no pen...The thrill of examination is gone.. now the graetest thrill lies in clearing out the attendance anyhow by the end of semesters.!! :) And the examinations are given with just one dream in mind..."Bas kisi tarah pass ho jaayen yaar.." :)
Ha ha ha.. Time changes...Life changes... :)

Losers Keep Losing and Winners Keep Moving..

Do you encounter someone everyday who always speak of negative things?
"Humara kuch nahi hoga"
"Padh ke koi faayda nahi hai...back toh lagne wala hi hai"
"humse nahi ho paayega"
"Bahut tesion rehta hai..."
"Hamesha mere saath bura hi hota hai"
blah blah blah.....
Dont these type of people bear sober faces and dull expressions..?

I call them "Rotlu people" always crying over things..

If you believe in the concept of "energy of thoughts" , then don't you feel such types of people radiate lots of negative energy...
OK! whether you believe it or not,it's actually true! Feel from your own experience... isnt it that the people who are happy get lots of happy things in their lives while sober people always seem to be troubled all the time..Even if they get happy...soon something happens and they get in tension again...
So if you want to change your life, start manifesting positive energy within yourself.. Start feeling good..start feeling happy... start smiling...start appreciating people... (I m so badly obsessed with appreciating people that sometimes they feel I ve spoken too much than they deserve... ha ha...but of course , none of the things that I say is untrue... The only caution that I need to take is while appreciating any girl...The friends begin to draw other meanings when I praise any girl :P )

What do u think about people who are always excited, always smiling, they dance in the rains, sing songs of joy, meet you with open arms or with a passionate handshake, their faces reflect liveliness and abundance of joy... How good it feels... Dont u think even if u are sad, meeting such a person will make ur worries feel small...

So choose your emotions and design your life!!! Be happy... Feeel Happy and consequently...more happy things will begin to happen with you!!!

There is one famous quote of Robert Frost which says,-.. "And Miles to go before I sleep.."

I would like to improve this quote a little bit ... "And Smile all the way before U sleep" :)
ha ha... This is better!!!!

I Choose to be happy.. :)

Many times people ask me..."How come you are so happy all the time?" And almost every time my reply is- "I don't think I have any good reason to be unhappy!! :)"

Definitely it feels odd when I see myself from someone else's point of view.I meet friends everyday and almost everyone of them seem to be troubled for some or the other reason.Sometimes they are worried about studies...sometimes about money, sometimes about attendance and almost every time because of their girlfriends... :)

It is n't that I don't encounter difficulties in life as well...I too face difficult times..I too get into troublesome situations...But the only difference is that I "choose" to be happy.... I like being happy..Being upset secludes me from everyone and worst of all it doesn't feel good while being sad..
So come whatever may..I don't let that situation dominate over myself. The best way to maintain the charm in difficult situations is to create a virtual reality in your mind of being in a good state...
Most of the times after the exam my friends ask me "How was the exam?"
And my reply is always in an enthusiastic tone "It was great!!!! Fantastic"
"So...how much are u going to score?"
"Might be 50% :)"
"Only 50%!!!! How can u b so happy then?"
"Because I don't think by being sad I will be given some bonus marks :)"

ha ha ... many times it has happened with me... And I like this. Most of the times I feel that my friends also begin to feel good after I say that...Being happy is contagious...so is being sad...  So why spread remorse... Be happy and that will make other's happy themselves..

My Role Models

We meet many people in our lifetimes for whom we develop deep sense of honor and respect because they inspire us a lot. Some days back I had been attending an Inspirational Seminar in which it was discussed about those great personalities whom we consider as our Role Models. They explained in very good terms what is the importance of having a role model and how we can learn from their lives.

In my lifetime there are many personalities whom I owe deep sense of gratitude for changing my life in some or the other way.And..yes.. Im talking about the positive changes.. When that talk was going on in that seminar, the images of few people were continuously coming in my mind.

The idea of having a visionary mentor in my life was reinforced after I had read Robin Sharma's "The Monk Who Sold His Ferrari". In that marvelous book Robin Sharma gave a very good exercise to write down the names of all those personalities whom you want to meet in your lifetime...It was thrilling to imagine me meeting all those people I admire so much..so I took a pen and started writing down...

At the end my list had the following names-
1.Einstein
2.Edison
3.Dan Brown
4.Robin Sharma
 5.Stephen Hawking
                          6.John Gray
8.Harry Lorayne
9.Dale Carnegie
10.Preity Zinta

Ha ha ... a bit funny when I recall this list again... anyways .. I made this list about an year ago and after I attended that seminar few days back I recalled this list again.I want to share my views regarding each of these personalities as to why I admire them so much and my memories related to them.....

Einstein and Edison have been my favorite since Childhood. In fact I liked all the Scientists but somehow Einstein and Thomas Edison seemed the biggest Superstars in the World of Science so, I've always admired them and their works.

Dan Brown became my favourite ever since I read Angels and Demons.Myteries...Secrets... Revelations...Wow!!!It blew me away and I was startle how could a person write a story with such a perfection taking in consideration all the historical facts and Data...And his way of narration is so exciting that reading his book means reading till the end otherwise You cant sleep whole night wondering in excitement what will happen next... His intelligence impressed me alot and was further reinforced after reading THE Vinci Code,The Lost Symbol and The Digital Fortress.

Robin Sharma is the most vital name in my life transformation..His book "The Monk Who Sold His Ferrari" is still a life guiding tool for me .When I was undergoing through the most adverse situations..this particular book helped me alot wit the practical guidelines for leading a better life.

Astronomy being my favourite subject... I leave no stones unturned in collecting all the knowledge and facts on the Subject of Space Science. In this hunt of knowledge, I came upon the Book "A Brief history of  Time" by none other than the most highly acclaimed scientist of present day.. Stephen Hawking. The book was a great eye opening experience as it allowed me to plunge into greater depths of Astrophysics. It is truly remarkable that Dr.Hawkins has used such simple language to explain so intricate things... "It has been my relentless effort to present the theories in as simple language as possible so that a layman can understand it.I've tried not to use any equation or mathematical language. The only equation you will find in this book is E=mc2"
Excellent!!!!! :)

Once I was seeing the list of the larget selling books of all time in history(on wikipedia). Among the many book name I saw, one name in particular appealed me alot."Men are From Mars,Women are from Venus" by Dr. John Gray.I recalled I had once picked up this book in a book store but dint buy it 'coz I dint kno whether it would be an interesting read atall. Now wen I saw it's name in the list of "One of the largest selling books of all time" I was feeling uncomfortable. How could I miss to possess such a sensational book.So next time I was in the market I picked it up.And as I went on reading and reading my interest kept on growing more and more. The major thing that impressed me in Dr.Gray's writing was the fact that 'How unaware we all are regarding relationships'. Of course there is nothing new about the quarrel(mismatch of ideas..not understanding each other's feelings) between men and women...but why do we take such quarrels to b granted? Every relationship can b made much much more happier and full of understanding if we knew that Men are From Mars and women are from venus...After reading this, I felt a big change in my attitude and I began to understand and maintain  relationships in a more better way...And I still owe my this achievement to Dr.John Gray.

It was on Tv when I first saw a strange man with white hair..pretty old man but highly energetic. He was a guest in an interview show and was talking something about the miraculous powers of the human mind.In course of the show he demonstrated his own expertise on memory mastery by repeating the names of all the audiences in crowd by memorizing everyones name.(It so happened that each person in the audience stood up and spoke their name one after the other in rapid succession.More than 100 people had  spoken their names) I was greatly thrilled by this man.And wanted to learn how he could do this. The answer came to me  some years later in a book catalogue (of Pustak Mahal) ,which had the name of the book "The Secrets Of Mind Power" by Harry Lorayne.I saw the author's pic and immediately recognised him as the same man on the show.I was in class 8th then.I saved my pocket money for an entire year and purchased the book via post.I still remember I started my class 9th with a very very changed self as I had acquainted myself alot about  the "Secrets of Mind Power" I still practise the things taught by Mr. Harry Lorayne and Im greatful to him today that because of him I have achieved many things in my life... And presently Im tranferring the same knowledge to my friends and family for their betterment as well....

The Story of My encounter with Dale Carnegie is exactly similar to that with Mr.John Gray. It was in the same list on wikipedia(The bestselling books in History) that I saw the name of Dale Carnegie as well.Dale Cranegie's book is one of the best of the best books a person can possess...Seriously ...the name itself tells all about his work... "How to win Friends and Influence People" The title itself thrilled me.And as I read what Mr.Carnegie taught' I was filled with passion and happiness... Some of us are "friendly" by nature...some of us feel uncomfortable wit some sorts of people. But when we come into corporate world...meeting with new people becomes absolutely inevitable. In this scenario,it's important to learn certain basic about delicate relationships and way of communicating things. I applied this knowledge from the very common areas (like my friend circle) to the official levels(like while interacting with teachers and professors)..Somewhere I did begin to feel that I have been becoming good and good in my communication style, I am very thankful to the vast amount of knowledge shared by Dale Carnegie and so by heart I regard him as one of my Role Models.

At last comes one of my most charming Role Model... Preity Zinta.Ok there may b some controversy on me calling her a role model...but I will tell the story why I like her so much and what is her importance in my life...
Those were the days when I was in 4th class(or 5th may be?) when I began to study alone in the study room at my home.It was perfectly alone there and at night wen everybody would sleep, I would wake up till late hours studying alone there.So...many times it happened that I began to get haunting feelings because I was all alone in that room.sometimes any rat would make strange noises in the kitchen and I would get terrified alot.I wanted to have atleast someone out there to talk with me and give me company all the time when I would be waking up. Once it just occured to me to find the picture of someone smiling to keep wit myself so that atleast  it wont make me feel alone.I searched a newspaper and the most charming and happy photograph that I found was that of Preity Zinta.I cut out her picture and always kept it on my study table.Everytime I looked at her pic,I felt happy. It felt as if I wasn't alone and I began to study comfortably..Subsequently I began to collect more and more photographs of her and began to consider her as a friend of mine.Later It so happened that I won's start studying unless I had kept her photograph besides the book on the table.I never saw her movie but liked her charming smile. That affection for her still  persists in my heart and so I regard her as one of the personalities I would really want to meet once in my lifetime.... :)

Music is the tonic for life

Who gives u the company wen u are happy? Who gives you the company wen u r sad?Who gives the masses the company in any festivity?Who gives the public the zest of togetherness?
Its d music!!!!

Music is the best thing to happen to men since women(Not Maxim)
But the exciting thing is that music is the best thing to happen to women since men too(Maxim is beaten now)
Wen in agony...though ur frns, ur relatives will console u for hours to hold urself up...but where ultimately do u find solace?... In those songs of Kishore da and Mukesh Kumar...Oh ho ho...How good it feels...Lagta hai apni kahani suna rahe hain...No doubt the old age hindi music is uncomparable..There are just the finest songs for every situation...Aur jab girlfrn ka tension ho to yaad aate hain apne Kumaar Saanu Saab..and wo bus me jinka aksar gaana bajta hai..haan Agam Kumaar Nigam saab..Gum me unke gaano ko b log jhel lete hain!
Anyways..so sadness me sath diya music ne..
Ab khushi ke mauke pe b music k bina kuch nai ho sakta...imagine a marriage without music..eewwwwww...A birthday party without music...double eeeewww.

Music is very very necessary ingredient in any festivity!Lucky is our country that so many music forms exist..The fusion of indian music with western one has produced a remarkable class of rocking music! some of the hindi songs have so beautiful use of the tabla beats and flute music that it becomes irresistible to muse with such songs!
and music must b subordinated by dance!!
It is one of my favourite quotes that I always say and will repeat it again here...
"Nobody cares if u dont dance well...Just get up and dance"
Whether in party...or in baraati...just jump to the dancefloor and leave ur body to sway with the music...
Dancing is the best thing one can do while listening to music..
Put on the fulll Volume and let the music take care of ur dancing...
So cm on all....Gal mitthe mitthe bol!!!!!
